I was born in Warwick, Rhode Island and before I really even learned my first words, my father was stationed just outside of Paris France for his first duty assignment as an officer in the United States Army.
My life was consumed with drawing and soccer and if I wasn't doing one, I was doing the other.
I spent most of my childhood life outside the United States relocating about once a year until the age of twelve where my father was offered a position at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois to teach R.O.T.C. (Reserve Officers' Training Corps). I attended middle school and almost all of high school in this small midwestern town. My summers were spent working on farms de-tasseling corn (yes, they have machines to do this now) and pulling weeds in the bean fields. It kept me in shape and certainly taught me the value of an education.
Before my senior year, my father was offered a job on Fort Meade, Maryland working for the NSA (I can't tell you what this means ... I was sworn to secrecy) and I was presented with an interesting decision... remain in Illinois and live with my coach to continue my potential career as a track and cross country runner and attend Illinois State University to study art by obtaining some type of scholarship or... move with my family and start over again.
The decision I made altered my life, I attended Fort Meade High School in Maryland. Although I fell short of qualifying for an art or running scholarship, I did get the entrepreneurial bug! I started a design and printing company and a disc jockey service in my senior year of high school.
The entertainment company (AbsoluteEntertainment.com) is still around and considered by many to be the best wedding disc jockey service for cultural and thematic events.
Around 2000 I had been in the business for about 18 years and was yearning to travel again as I had not stepped one foot out of the United States since I was 12 years old. I reconnected with a good friend, John Paul Berry, Jr. who took over the reigns of Absolute so that I could go back to school to study languages. After about three years of study to include 3 immersion classes abroad, I went on my first cruise to Italy, Croatia, Spain and France.
I now had the travel bug and I lived to travel. After learning about the Centurion Traveller's Club (people who have visited 100 countries or more), I took on the challenge. You can see in the blog section the photos from all the places I have travelled.
My lifelong wish to write a book was finally accomplished on December 12, 2009 when my first shipment of 25 books were delivered in full color. After going through all the books in a week, I was happy another shipment of 2000 books was on its way. "Becoming the Perfect Networker ... Succeeding One Connection at a Time" is receiving very good marks on Amazon.com, and if you want a copy for a reduced rate, simply become a Perfect Networker and join PerfectNetworker.com and order your book there.
During my most recent cruise in 2010, I hope to finish my second book "The Perfect Net Work-Out... Balancing, Creating and Living a Life of Wealth and Wellness"
Stay Kennected!
